WooCommerce alternative
Subscriptions alone is $279/yr. Add Gift Cards ($79), AutomateWoo for abandoned carts ($159), Product Vendors ($119), One Page Checkout ($79), Bundles ($79) and Table Rate Shipping ($119) and a single store is at $913/yr before any third-party extension — each renewing separately, each with its own settings page.
Easy Digital Downloads alternative
EDD’s own documentation states that Lite and Personal stores pay a 3% application fee on Stripe transactions, removed only from the Extended pass ($199.50 intro, $399 renewal) upward.
SureCart alternative
Per SureCart’s own listing, the plugin connects your site to the SureCart cloud and needs a linked account to function. Your orders are processed there, not in your WordPress database.
FluentCart alternative
FluentCart’s roadmap lists abandoned-cart recovery “from FluentCRM” — a separate product from $129/yr — and its features page lists a FluentAffiliate integration, another product from $199. That is a $527 first-year stack for one site.

Five questions that decide it, before any feature list.
Feature lists converge — every plugin here sells subscriptions somehow. The differences that still matter in year two are structural: who takes a cut, how many licenses you renew, where your orders live, whether you can pay once, and what the move costs you. Answer these five and the shortlist usually writes itself.
- Fees: is there a platform or processor surcharge on your plan, today and after you grow?
- Licenses: how many separate products renew each year to run the store you have?
- Hosting: do orders and customers sit in your database or on the vendor’s platform?
- Lifetime: can you pay once, and what does “lifetime” cover?

What is the best WooCommerce alternative for WordPress?
It depends on what you sell. For a self-hosted store that needs subscriptions, licensing, gift cards, vendors and recovery without buying separate extensions, Ambikly includes all of them in one Pro license.
