Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Ambikly website and store, and your purchase and use of Ambikly Pro and Ambikly Agency licenses (together, the “Service”). By using the website or buying a license you agree to them. If you buy on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.
2. The software is GPL; the license key is not
The Ambikly plugin and the Ambikly Pro plugin are licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 or later. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the GPL grants you over the code.
A license key is separate. It is what our servers use to (a) allow Pro add-ons to run on a registered site and (b) deliver updates. The key, our license and update servers, our trademarks and our support are not licensed under the GPL and are governed by these terms.

A “site” is one WordPress installation identified by its domain. Staging or development copies of the same store count toward the limit while activated; deactivating a site from your account frees the slot.
4. Activation and validation
Activating a key sends the key and site URL to our license server; the plugin re-validates once a day. If validation fails — because the license has expired, been refunded or been revoked — Pro add-ons stop loading on that site until it succeeds again. Add-on settings and store data are never modified or deleted by this process, and the free core continues to operate.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect.
- Yearly licenses renew automatically at the then-current renewal price at the end of each term. We email a reminder before renewal.
- You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account; the license stays active until the end of the paid term.
- Lifetime licenses are a one-time payment for updates and support for the life of the product.
- Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy (14-day window on new licenses; renewals are not refundable).
6. Acceptable use
You may not: share, resell or publish a license key; use a key to activate more sites than your plan allows or to circumvent activation; use our servers or support to harass, spam or attack others; or use the Service in breach of applicable law. We may revoke a key used in breach of this section without refund.
Because the code is GPL, you may of course remove the license check from your own copy — but a copy without a valid key receives no updates or support from us, and we cannot vouch for its behavior.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your WordPress site, its hosting, backups, security and legal compliance — including the privacy and tax obligations that come with running a store, and the terms of any payment processor or third-party service you connect to Ambikly. You are the data controller for your store’s customers.
8. Support and updates
Support covers Ambikly itself: installation, configuration and defects. It does not cover custom development, your theme, other plugins or your host, though we will point you in the right direction where we can. We aim to answer Pro and Agency requests promptly but do not guarantee a response time. Updates are provided as we release them; we may add, change or retire features over time and will note material changes in the changelog.
9. Third-party services
Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Facebook are independent services with their own terms and fees. Ambikly integrates with them only when you enable and configure the integration; we are not party to your agreement with them and are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
10. Intellectual property
“Ambikly” and the Ambikly logo are trademarks of Ambikly. The GPL grants rights over the code, not over our trademarks; you may not present a modified version as an official Ambikly release or imply endorsement.
11. Warranty disclaimer
The software is provided under the GPL without warranty of any kind, as the GPL states. The Service (license keys, servers, support) is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the software or Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in this section limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ambikly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the software or Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve months before the claim arose.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or revoke a license for a material breach of these terms after notice, or immediately for fraud or abuse. Sections 2, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination. Your rights under the GPL are unaffected.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply to renewals and new purchases after they are posted. If a change materially reduces what an active license includes, we will email license holders in advance.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ambikly is established, and any dispute will be brought before the courts of that jurisdiction.
